Summary

On November 13th, 2024, I was honored to present my Lessons in Leadership talk at the PS&S Woodbury office. This talk is close to my heart because it explores the often challenging transition from being an individual contributor to stepping into a leadership role. It’s a journey I’ve personally navigated, and one that requires more than just skills—it demands self-awareness, courage to take risks, and a willingness to embrace discomfort and growth.

In the session, I shared stories from my own career about how I learned to recognize my inner leader and the strategies that helped me move forward, even when the path wasn’t clear. Leadership isn’t about having all the answers or a perfect plan. It’s about showing up, being open to learning, and making intentional choices every day.

What I appreciate most about delivering this talk is the honest conversations it sparks. At PS&S, the discussion was thoughtful and real. We talked about the challenges leaders face, the importance of mentorship, and how to build confidence even when self-doubt creeps in.

Whether you’re just starting to think about leadership or already in a leadership role looking to grow, Lessons in Leadership is designed to provide practical insight and encouragement grounded in real experience. I’m grateful for the opportunity to connect with the PS&S team and support their leadership journeys.
